Jonathan Hemnes Joins Only Sky as Vice President of Engineering

May 20, 2019, DENVER, CO -- Only Sky today announced its first Vice President of Engineering, Jonathan Hemnes, who joins the company in its Denver office. Jonathan Hemnes is a passionate engineer and leader. Jonathan grew up outside of Boston, Massachusetts and after graduating high school, moved to Colorado where he received his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and his MBA from the University of Denver. His interests in software led him to work in companies large and small, from Standard & Poors to 10 person startups.

Most recently, Jonathan was VP of Engineering at Traveler’s Haven, a Denver-based technology company in the corporate housing space. Jonathan originally started as a Full Stack Engineer before quickly working his way up to being Team Lead, Director of Engineering, and finally VP of Engineering, where he managed team members across both engineering and product. Some of his more recent accomplishments have been in large scale code base upgrades, machine learning, and process architecture with scaling teams.
